“The place is quiet, perfect, the decoration of the rooms and the restaurant is classy and desired. The places are much nicer in reality than in the picture. The food is good, refined and plentiful. The owner is adorable, helpful and gives good advice. Everything is perfect, stay 2 days to enjoy the place.”

“That was by far the most beautiful place we have stayed in at our South African tour. Absolutely fantastic. Wish we could have stayed longer. Just an amazing place, very beautiful gardens with such great details. Any time we would come back. Thanks guys for such a great stay. Looooove it”

“Jurie is an outstanding host. The room & venue are beautiful with quaint fire stoves to keep you warm in winter. After 9 hours on the road during lockdown I was greeted late in the evening by a pleasant Jurie who had gone as far as to bring me freshly ground coffee so I could fill my flask for the next day’s trip. When I left I was handed some of the most delicious rusks and a warm goodbye. Out of the over 75 Airbnb’s I have stayed in Jurie is in the top 5 – HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!”

“Set in the rolling velveteen foothills in the Drakensberg, Jurie and Katie have set up a place that is rich in all sorts of experiences – from understanding the local history to fantastically prepared meals full of home grown ingredients to the unique touches in terms of furnishings. Katie was fantastic with the kids and they loved feeding the farm animals. Although the venue is slightly off the normal beaten track, it is worth adding this to your next road trip.”

“This is exactly the kind of gem that AirBnB is all about discovering. I loved everything, from the beautiful drive through the kind of lush green that only KZN can do, to the artistically restored stone rooms and fine white linen. Creativity abounds in every nook, including cleverly repurposed old farm implements, arches, swing benches and hammocks. There are multiple colourful lounges and patios in interesting outbuildings facing every possible direction to make the most of the sun and shade throughout the day. The gardens and ponds catch and transform the light from every angle. The food was delicious, the hospitality warm and humble. My only complaint was that I spent too much of my stay planning a longer return.”

“Our time at Flitwick Ranch was superb! The surroundings are spectacular. We received a warm welcome from Jurie and the team, nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed a fantastic evening meal on both nights, cooked by Jurie followed by a tasty breakfast. The ranch is peaceful and welcoming and perfect for a stopover or holiday. We went riding (accompanied) for 2.5 hours and further enjoyed the views surrounding the ranch. There are a number of walks you can do ranging from 3k to 20+k, we did the 5k and enjoyed the views and peaceful countryside. Well worth the drive to visit Flitwick Ranch!”

“Flitwick Ranch is such a beautiful space run by the loveliest people! From the very first moment we felt at home and left feeling like family. Jurie and his team are very welcoming, friendly and accommodating to their guests’ needs. The food was outstanding, the scenery breath taking and the activities fun! We loved the fact that the ranch provides ample opportunities to explore (such as horse riding, biking, trails, fishing, etc.), yet creates numerous spaces for relaxing with a book or just enjoying the view. The rooms are prepared thoughtfully and kept clean every day. We will definitely be traveling to Flitwick Ranch again! A big thank you to Jurie and each of his team members!”
